Dr Meagan Cox
I became a therapist for one simple reason: to help people improve their lives. There's nothing more meaningful to me than walking alongside someone as they overcome what once felt impossible. Bearing witness to someone's growth, healing, and resilience - it's not just my job, it's what I genuinely love to do.
I specialize in working with military service members, veterans, first responders, and their families, as well as individuals living with chronic illness and their caregivers who support them. My therapeutic approach is warm, supportive, and deeply rooted in lived experience. I understand the highs and lows of military marriage, caregiving, and navigating major life transitions - because I've lived them too.
My husband is Active Duty in the U.S. Air Force and has served for 18 years. We have been married for 14 years and are raising two incredible kids, now 10 and 11 years old. Eight years ago, I became suddenly and severely ill while we were stationed on Oahu. Within 24 hours, I was paralyzed from the neck down. I spent two years mostly hospitalized, relearning everything - from walking to brushing my hair. That journey shaped every part of my life and gave me a profound appreciation for resilience, the healing process, and the power of support. Today, I bring that same strength, empathy, and perspective into every session.
Whether you're working through trauma, rebuilding a struggling relationship, reclaiming confidence, navigating the complex world of VA systems, or simply seeking a space to be seen and supported, I'd be honored to walk with you.
